*** RANT ALERT ***

Let me clarify that this is not a rant about anything British, rather it is about stupid people in general. I went for a run the other morning... and I'm puffing along the SIDEWALK, minding my own business, when I'm nearly mowed down from BEHIND by a crazy cyclist who decided that they would rather not ride in the road. Well, sorry, but if you decide to ride your bike the wrong way up a one-way street, I think you should take your chances with the cars instead of running over innocent pedestrians who are using the sidewalk for its intended purpose!

There, I feel better. Thanks for listening. And yes... I am procrasinating...

Trust me, this is why I am hesitant to get a bike here - because I know you aren't supposed to ride on the sidewalks and I am scared to ride in traffic!

oh darlin'... go ahead and ride on the sidewalk... everyone does! Just watch out for the innocent pedestrian :)

We didn't bring our bikes here, and now I'm bummed, if I had known how many people had them, I would have brought it. And I would probably ride it on the sidewalk! (shh... don't tell)

You can get fined for riding on the pavement as it is illegal.

Bike riders in all countries seem to think they have a god-given right to break most of the traffic laws.

hmm...I'd like to see the cops (who are stuck in traffic) try to catch them though!
