We went to Barcelona this weekend... What and amazing city... the palm trees and warm temps were the first things we noticed. Although I don't know much about the subject matter, the architecture was amazing...Still dealing with a crappy T-Mobile in Starbucks mocha grande frappe socialogy degree connection... Will post alot more when we move into our new place.
We've been by to visit Candy a few times in quarantine. She has many neighbors including cats from the Congo, Canada, Lebanon, Poland, and of course, the three fatest ones from Texas.
I know it's a little out of chronological order, but I thought you find this picture funny in reference to my entry of having to re-pack all of our belongings in the middle of the BA terminal at JFK...
As promised, here is a pic of our new place... if all goes well, we will move in next week!

???
We finally found a place to live!!!More details, pics, etc... to come as soon as I get a better connection.
Unfortunately, I still do not have a decent internet connection. After going to 3 Starbucks and trying different T-Mobile connections, I can't find one that is fast enough to upload pictures to the blog, even though I reduced the picture size to 32k.We've had a great week so far, though exhausting. Some of the highlights:Monday - Landed at 10 AM... While waiting to get off the plane, we saw the cargo handlers taking Candy off the plane. Beth was able to relax nowTuesday - Saw a few properties through our own search in the Earls Court/Kensington area. There were 2 that we really liked. We trecked up to Chingford to see Candy. SHE WAS PISSED. But she calmed down after spending some time with her.Wednesday - Used a service that booked us for about 15 viewings. The day started in the Clapham area. We ended up in Earls Court. We put an offer in last night for one of the properties we saw on Tuesday. It is in Earls Court, in a beautiful garden square. The outside looks like a mansion, and the inside is very modern.Thursday - Although our offer was accepted, we are still clarifying a few details. In the meantime, we are viewing a few other places. As soon as I get a halfway decent connection, I will upload some pictures. Why is everything here so "brilliant?"
The fine people at the BA check in desk thought our bags were too heavy. With all of the stress of moving, and all of the week's events, having to take 20 pounds out of my bag and put them into other bags was par for the course. We managed though!
The movers came... and packed. This is a novel idea. I will have to keep the concept of "movers" in mind next time we move on our own.
This one is particularly unhappy about the process. We keep telling her that she's going to the kitty-spa... but she doesn't believe us. I wonder why?
DONUTS are good when packing things...
It's official... we have our Entry Clearance stamps... Notice the crossed out one? Just as I was about to leave the British Consulate, I noticed a mistake in the dates. I felt like I was at the DMV... except the people had polite accents.
Boxes...
I had no idea anyone was capable of accumulating so much stuff within four years of marriage. I guess a move is a good excercise... It forces you to clean, clear, donate, and sell your belongings, especially when your company limits you 8 cubic meters (or is that metres?)
