AvenueQ is a MUST see! Very rarely do I enjoy anything theatrical that much (usually because Beth has to explain half of it to me... maybe that means I'm simple minded... at least I feel smart during the week where it counts... ok enough). Someone told us it is The Muppets/Sesame Street for adults. I definitely agree with that...

We also went to Richmond for a walk yesterday. What a day. The weather was perfect and Richmond is a gem. Unfortunately, something's wrong with Blogger and I can't post pictures... I'll put some up later this week.

Friday is here... We're looking forward to seeing Avenue Q tomorrow night. It's supposed to be a grown up version of the Muppets... It has received very good reviews.

We've both had a tough time adjusting back to the 5 hour time difference from our trip home... not sure why it's been such a struggle this time.

Back at work today... and I was greeted with some "typical" London Fog and rain to start the morning. But at least it's Wednesday.

Busy week... we've seen tons of friends and family... we also both caught up with work colleagues. We're looking forward to heading back to England tomorrow, but will miss everyone... But, we're back in just about a month for T-Day.

Here are some pictures of everyone we saw this past week:

Tuesday night at my parents' house... My grandmothers, Beth's parents and her brother all came over for some good old fashion home cooking.

Thursday night... Some of our friends came over to visit us at my parents' house. Sean C (looks like he's a boyscout) came directly from the Stamford Police Academy. He brought a dozen donuts. Mark and his wife Heather stopped by... Heather is expecting a baby in a few months. Joe and Miki also came by.. they're living in Arizona and coincidentally were back for the week. Sean H also came... stag... and weak.

Friday night at Terry and Jen's house. Jen frequents this site and leaves comments... their baby... Philip is 5 months old!

Katia, Sean, Beth, and I holding Philip on Terry and Jen's couch. It was nice to not sit on their floor!

Scahhhooooch, Ryan (Papa), Mick, myself, and Manisha outside of the ceremony at James and Ewa's wedding yesterday.

The newest addition to the Chawhan family... Baby Arya is only 1 month old! She could not wait to get to the cocktail hour to throw one back!

Great group shot at the reception in Avery Point, CT... James and Ewa had perfect weather for their wedding... Great venue guys!

We're home! We arrived late on Monday night. We're staying with my parents for a few days this week, then onto a wedding and Beth's parents for the weekend.

I'm actually in the NYC at my office for 2 days this week... to catch up with people, etc.

We could NOT WAIT to get to Dunkin' Donuts to have COFFEE yesterday...

The drive-through... a concept that has not made it to London... there's nothing like being served from the window of your car.

Don't take my coffee! It's mine!

One more week until we set foot on U.S. soil! We're looking forward to coming home to see friends and family next week. Our Oct-Dec calendar looks BUSY... Coming home 3 times (next week, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). In between those trips, we're doing a long weekend to Paris in Nov and a long weekend to Geneva in Dec.

2. Taking the "piss" - making fun of someone

3. "Pissing" down - raining heavily

4. Piece of "piss" - it's really easy

5. Did you get "pissed?" - get drunk

We went to Canterbury on Saturday by train... Canterbury is a quaint medieval city in Kent in the South East of England... Canterbury, a walled city, is famous for its medieval buildings, narrow cobbled streets, the Cathedral, and The Canterbury Tales. http://www.canterbury.co.uk/

Beth guarding one of the walls

The Canterbury Tales attraction

Canal that runs through the center of the city

The Canterbury Cathedral

Ruins on the grounds of the Cathedral

Your hosts.

Town center just outside of the Cathedral... I thought it would have been a perfect shot of what life looked like in the dark ages... they even had Starbucks.
